Made a trip to Paddy Hills over the weekends to try out their Christmas Menu!Rise and Grind! Quite interesting to sip my cuppa iced latte through a metal straw! When at Paddy Hills, try their specialty drinks if you can skip your caffeine because their drinks are really interesting, photogenic and thirst quenching!
Autumn Truffle Fries, SGD 26
I thought that this is a little pricey for a side. Note that the bowl featured in the picture above is only half a portion. We did not have enough stomach to go for the full portion so we made a special request to have half of it and boy oh boy, it really is worth the price. I’d say the full portion can feed a party of 4. They grated the black truffle topping right in front of us and the smell managed to put me in an awesome appetite!
This dish was picked by Bernice because she was curious how colourful can a Carbonara get. There is no rainbow but it is indeed the most colourful pasta I have ever seen. It tastes a little like an ang-moh version of dried ban mee.
This was my pick. I had a hard time picking between the Barramundi and the Risotto, but I went for the latter because not many places serve good risotto. Paddy Hills nailed it though, the de-boned chicken wings was very tender and it goes very well with the risotto. Talking about it made me crave for more!
JQ picked this. He was attracted to the huge drumstick when he saw it on the table next to us. The drumstick was the bombz! Soft inside and crispy on the outside. Christmas Muffcake, SGD 20
Notice the colours of the fluffy muffcake, its red and green. How innovative to add the colours of Christmas into their food. It not only looks good, it tastes heavenly. The muffcake is really, really crispy and it goes perfect with the Mint ice-cream. This is a must-order if you are thinking of ending your meal with a bang. Double must-order, if you’re a fan of mint-ice cream.
